Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati
Arrive in Guwahati, the largest city in Assam, known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
Check into your place of stay and freshen up.
Visit Kamakhya Temple, a famous Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. The temple offers a stunning panoramic view of the city.
Visit the Mahabahu Brahmaputra Heritage Centre to get an understanding of the Assamese heritage.
Explore the Assam State Museum to learn about the region's history, art, and culture.
Take a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River, offering picturesque views of the city skyline.
Visit one of the best restaurants and enjoy a traditional Assamese dinner, and retire to your rooms
Day 2: Sualkuchi & Hajo
Have an early breakfast and drive to Sualkuchi, the silk weaving village known for its traditional Assamese silk production.
Explore Sualkuchi's silk weaving workshops and interact with local weavers.
Visit the Hatisatra, an elephant-shaped structure, which is an important symbol of Sualkuchi.
Drive to Hajo, a pilgrimage site known for its diverse religious sites including Hayagriva Madhava Temple, Powa Mecca Mosque, and Kedareshwar Temple.
Return to Guwahati for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Mayong and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary
Proceed to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in the morning after breakfast. It’s just over and hour’s drive from Guwahati first through the city and then through the rural landscape, touching the Brahmaputra as several places.
Famous for having the highest density of one-horned rhinoceros and an acclaimed bird sanctuary, Pobitora is a small heaven for wildlife lovers. You can jump on a safari jeep for a 1-hour safari and experience a closer encounter.
The villages of Mayong also plays a very important role in the history of Assam. Once famous for the prevalence of tantric practices, or Black Magic, as popularly termed, some of which is still prevalent, Mayong also have evidences of the existence of ancient civilisation through sculptures, scriptures and inscriptions. Ancient and rare temples, stone inscriptions, manuscripts, archaeological discoveries are found in large numbers in Mayong. The Mayong Museum and Research Centre houses many of these art crafts for public viewing.
Enjoy some birdwatching – thousands of migratory birds visit Pobitora every winter
After lunch, proceed for a boat Safari on the Brahmaputra, landing on one of the villages located atop a sandbank in the middle of the river. Understand the life, the culture and the means of livelihood of the people staying there.
In the evening enjoy a cultural performance of Bihu dance at the resort
A bonfire and dinner.

Day 4: Pobitora to Kaziranga
Go for an early morning elephant safari
After breakfast, start early from Pobitora to Batadrava Than, Bordowa, the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardev, who founded the Vaishnavite religion in Assam. One of the best places to get complete insights in to Assamese culture and heritage.
Spend some time in the Satra and proceed to Kaziranga
Go for a jeep safari at Kohora range if time permits, else visit a tribal weaver’s village at Kaziranga to understand the culture and life of the people here, and enjoy a traditional Assamese lunch
Check in to your rooms and enjoy the natural surroundings of Kaziranga
Day5: Kaziranga – Sivasagar
After breakfast, proceed for a Jeep Safari to Agoratoli range, known worldwide for birds.
Proceed to Sivasagar, the erstwhile capital of the Ahom Kingdom. A full day sightseeing tour of the Siva Dol, Rang Ghar, the Kareng Ghar, the Talatal Ghar and the Maidams will give a thorough understanding of the rich culture and heritage of the Ahoms who ruled Assam for more than 600 years.
Stay in Sivasagar
Day 6: Return to Guwahati
Start early from Sivasagar to Guwahati. On the way stop and walk inside the Tea Gardens to get some great pictures.
Lunch on the way
Proceed to Guwahati airport for your journey back home with some wonderful memories.

Assam
Your wildlife adventure in Assam is incomplete without a visit to the UNESCO Heritage site awardee Kaziranga National Park and the small but captivating Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary! A combined visit to both these parks gives you a thorough idea not only about the wildlife, but also the different cultures of various tribes living together in the state and also a brief understanding about the history of Assam.
Our itinerary, along with the wildlife safaris includes a wholesome experience of Assam - the hospitality and culture of the people of Assam, the traditional food and their everyday life. We visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, museums, go on boat rides on the mighty Brahmaputra, explore the white sandbanks in the middle of the river, spot dolphins, walk inside the magnificent tea gardens and explore how the world's best tea is made. We also visit the local tribal villages to interact with the villagers, try out their local cuisines, enjoy their music and dance to the local tunes. We visit an Orchidarium to know about the various orchids found in these regions. We stay with wonderful hosts who welcome our guests with open arms and happy hearts.

Day 1
Arrival at Guwahati Airport
Depending upon the time of arrival, we either straight to Kamakhya Temple for Darshan (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) or to the guesthouse and check in to the rooms
Sunset Boat Ride on the Brahmaputra
Visit the Mahabahu Brahmaputra Heritage Centre
Return to the guesthouse and have a good dinner and retire for the night
Stay in Guwahati
Day 2
If we are unable to visit Kamakhya temple on Day 1, we can go early today morning as well
Have a good breakfast and check out, and proceed to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary by 10:00 AM
Check in to your rooms
Proceed for the Jeep Safari (1 Hr)
Come back to the resort for lunch
Go for bird watching and museum visit
You can then go for a beautiful boat safari on the Brahmaputra to spot river dolphins as well as visiting the sandbanks on the middle of the river
Come back to the resort to freshen up and sit around a bonfire discussion the day’s adventure
You can also enjoy a great Bihu dance performance by local troupe on the resort lawns.
Have an early dinner and retire for the night

Day 3
Check out and leave for Kaziranga by 7 AM after a light breakfast
As the journey will take over 4 hours, you can stop on the way for a bite. It’s a beautiful drive across the hills and plains of Assam, and as you approach Kaziranga, you get to see the wide expanses of tea gardens.
Check in to your rooms, freshen up and have a quick lunch.
Board the jeeps and start for the Safari in the nearby Agoratoli range which is well known for birds.
After the safari, enjoy a cup of tea by the roadside and return back
Freshen up and relax for the evening. Sit around the kitchen and learn how the food is cooked in the wood flame
A Jhumur performance can also be arranged, where you can join in with the dancers too.
Have a nice dinner and retire early

Day 4
Wake up very early, have a cup of tea and go for the elephant Safari (optional)
After the safari, you can have breakfast at one of the many restaurants at Kohora
After breakfast, go for a quick visit to the Orchid Park to get a glimpse of the numerous varieties of orchids for in this region.
We then can go for a visit to a traditional Assamese village to experience their way of life, their livelihood and their traditional food. Enjoy your lunch here.
We then go for our second afternoon safari at Kohora where animal sightings is very good.
You can do some souvenir shopping at various handicrafts shops at Kohora
Return to the resort for a nice evening relaxation.

Day 5
Wake up and have a lazy breakfast
Explore the nearby areas on cycles or take a walk around the resort
Check out before 12 pm and start your return journey to Guwahati, having your lunch whenever you feel hungry on the way.
Reach Guwahati by evening. You can either relax at the guesthouse or go for some shopping of the famous Assamese Silk (paat) items and handicrafts.
You can also try some restaurants serving good Assamese traditional food.

Wake up and have a good breakfast
Check out and proceed to the airport for your journey back home, with your heart and mind filled with great memories.

Assam
The Kaziranga National Park has been the pride of Assam and definitely one of the highest tourist-pullers to the state. Home to one of the highest number of animals and birds, this UNESCO Heritage Site, Kaziranga contains significant breeding populations of 35 mammalian species, of which 15 are endangered. The Park has the distinction of being home to the world's largest population of the Indian Rhinoceros (2,401), wild water buffalo (1,666) and eastern swamp deer (468). Significant populations of large herbivores include Indian elephants (1,940), gaur (1300) and sambar (58). Small herbivores include the chital, Indian muntjac, Indian boar and Indian hog deer. Kaziranga has the largest population of the Wild water buffalo anywhere accounting for about 57% of the world population. The Indian rhinoceros, royal Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, wild water buffalo and swamp deer are collectively known as 'Big Five' of Kaziranga.
Our itinerary of Kaziranga includes not only the wildlife, but we also attempt to take our guests through a wholesome experience of Assam - the hospitality and culture of the people of Assam, the traditional food and their everyday life. We walk inside the magnificent tea gardens and explore how the world's best tea is made. We visit the local tribal villages nearby to interact with the villagers, try out their local cuisines, enjoy their music and dance to the local tunes. We visit an Orchidarium to check out the hundreds of different types of Orchids found in the North East region. We go birdwatching. We go trekking to lovely locations. We spend out evening in the kitchen together and share stories and experiences, and learn how the traditional Assamese food is prepared. And as for wildlife, there are four different forest ranges to explore.

The Itinerary
Day 1
Leave early from Guwahati at 7:00 AM so that we can reach Kaziranga before 12:00 PM. A quick breakfast somewhere on the way, whenever you feel hungry. There are many places on the highway where we can stop.
Reach Kaziranga before 12 Noon. Check in to your rooms, freshen up and have your lunch by 1:00 PM
Rest a while and then jump on to the Safari Jeeps and leave for the afternoon Safari at Kohora range. Safari will take approximately 2 – 2.5 hrs. You will experience the beauty of Kaziranga wildlife in the golden hour, as the sun sets over the distant hills and the animals return home after the day’s adventures.
Enjoy a cup of tea on one of the roadside stalls with some local snacks.
Come back to your rooms to freshen up.
Join the hosts at the kitchen outside and enjoy great conservations over cups of ‘Laal Saah’ as you learn about the local cuisines, the local culture and local folklore.
Retire early
Day 2
Wake up very early in the morning and go for the Elephant Safari. The beauty of Kaziranga early in the winter mornings is simply ethereal, with the slowly lifting fog and the sunrays creeping in and the animals moving out into the open to take in the sun. The safari will take approximately 1.5 hrs.
Return to the resort for a good breakfast.
Freshen up and get ready to visit one of the villages nearby. Meet the locals and interact with them to understand their way of living. You can have a traditional lunch at the village itself today.
Leave for a safari at the Agoratoli range today, which is a range preferred for Bird Watching.
Come back to the resort and relax for the evening
Day 3
You can afford to be lazy today.. have a lazy breakfast and leave for the Kohora for some souvenir shopping.
Visit the heritage village to understand about the different tribes of the region and their different cultures.
Also visit the Orchid Park to enjoy viewing and learning about the different types of orchids found in this region. Taste the big traditional Assamese Thalis with more than 20 different types of items and challenge your taste buds. Also enjoy great cultural performances, music the dances of this region at the park itself.
Come back to the resort to unwind over a cup of tea and freshen up for the evening
In case you missed the performance of Jhumur or Bihu dance at the Orchid park, we can get it arranged specially for you.

Day 4
Have another lazy breakfast and check out from your rooms
On your way back stop at the Hatikhuli Tea Eastate for a nice Tea Garden visit. Although you may not be able to visit the factory, we will explain to you the process how the best tea in the world gets prepared for these gardens and gets into your morning cuppa.
Start you journey back to Guwahati or any other destination. A nice lunch on the way and go back with wonderful memories in you heart of the nice time spent at Kaziranga.

Assam
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary
Located just 40 km from Guwahati and just over an hour's drive, this is a small paradise for wildlife lovers. Boasting of the highest density of one-horned rhinoceros in the world, you can watch Rhinos in the wild from really close quarters. Pobitora WLS is also an acclaimed bird sanctuary, where thousands of migratory bords come flying in every winter. Moreover, there are a wide variety of beautiful resident bird species that are seen all throughout the year. Other animals include the wild water buffaloes, the wild boar, the pigmy hog, jackals, reptiles and in the hilly ranges, leopards and slow loris.
However, a visit to Pobitora is not just about wildlife. Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary was created not too long back, by the efforts of the local villagers, who felt the need for protecting the Rhinos and other animals who grazed on their lands. The nearby villages of Mayong also have, on their own right, a strong place in the history of Assam. From ancient times, these villages have been famous for the tantric practices practiced here. These stories are now preserved in a small yet beautiful museum created by the locals very near to the sanctuary. Apart for this, there are evidences of very ancient civilization that existed here, through sculptures, temples, stone inscriptions and archaeological discoveries. There are beautiful viewpoints from where one can look at the majestic Brahmaputra. You can end a day with beautiful sunset boat rides to the sandbanks, wherein one can spot the Gangetic River Dolphins and play in the soft white sand in the middle of the river.

Post Lunch go for the jeep safari in the afternoon. Jeep safari takes about 1 hour.
After the safari, come back to the resort to freshen up. Enjoy the evening at the resort with a game of badminton or explore the village roads on cycles or walking.
Enjoy a great Bihu dance performance by local troupe on the resort lawns.

Day 2
Wake up very early in the morning to go for the elephant safari. Safari is approximately for 1 hour.
Come back for a good breakfast at the resort.
Go for birdwatching and museum visit.

After lunch go for the Kashashila hill viewpoint and the Boat safari
Enjoy the evening sunset boat ride and visit the sandbanks

You can check out and go towards Narasingha Temple, one of the rarest temples and capture the beautiful views of the Brahmaputra from here. Also visit the rock inscription.

Assam
Manas National Park
Manas National Park, located in the northeastern state of Assam, India, is a breathtaking haven of biodiversity and natural beauty. Encompassing an area of approximately 950 square kilometers, it stands as one of the most significant protected areas in the region. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, Manas National Park is renowned for its rich wildlife, stunning landscapes, and cultural significance.
The park is named after the mighty Manas River, which meanders through its heart, adding to the charm of the surroundings. The diverse topography of Manas National Park features lush grasslands, dense forests, tranquil rivers, and picturesque hills, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of nature's wonders. It serves as a refuge for numerous endangered and rare animals, including the majestic Bengal tiger, Indian rhinoceros, wild water buffalo, Indian elephant, clouded leopard, golden langur, and pygmy hog. The park also boasts a thriving bird population, with over 450 species documented, making it a true haven for avid birdwatchers.
