12 Day Tour of Assam, Arunachal and Meghalaya

A comprehensive tour of three beautiful states of North-East India covering the best of wildlife, nature and spirituality. In this tour, we cover the beautiful monasteries and mesmerizing sights of Arunachal, the amazing wildlife and vibrant culture of Assam and the rolling hills and valleys of Meghalaya, as much as we can, although even a two-week tour is not enough to really explore these beautiful places. However, this tour will give you a good insight to the North East and leave you wanting for more!

Day 1: Guwahati-Bhalukpong-Dirang

Start from Guwahati early morning at to Dirang, for breakfast on the way and at Bhalukpong for lunch.
Reach Dirang around evening after a quick stop at Bomdila. Check in to your rooms, have dinner and retire for the night.

Full day sightseeing at Dirang and Sangti valley

Day 3: Dirang - Tawang

Proceed to Tawang after breakfast. Stop at Sela pass.

Half-day sightseeing at Tawang covering Tawang Monastery, War Memorial, Khinmey-Nyingma-monastery

But last-minute cancellations result in monetary loss for everyone, leaving aside the loss of time and effort spent in detailing each and every step of the itinerary.

We therefore follow the following refund policy.

For Cancellation before 15 days of start of journey – 100% Refund
For Cancellation within 7-15 days before start date of trip – 50% Refund
For Cancellation within 0-7 days before start of journey – 0% Refund

A quick tour of the popular triangle of Kaziranga, Shillong and Cherrapunjee, capturing the best sights and experiences in all these.

Day 1 : Kaziranga

Start from Guwahati early morning at around 6 AM to Kaziranga National Park (5 Hours)
Reach Kaziranga by midday and check in to your rooms
Proceed for Jeep Safari immediately after a quick lunch
Check out the handicrafts at the local market, try some local snacks
Return back to the place of stay, freshen up and enjoy a nice Jhumur dance by the local troupe
Enjoy a nice traditional dinner and retire early

Stay at Kaziranga

Day 2 : Kaziranga-Guwahati

Wake up very early in the morning and proceed for Elephant Safari or another Jeep Safari (optional)
Enjoy a good breakfast, and check out from your rooms.
On your way back visit a local tribal village nearby to understand the life and culture of the local tribes. Also enjoy a traditional lunch here.
Start on your journey back to Guwahati, stopping by the tea gardens and beautiful landscapes for quick photographs.
Reach Guwahati late evening and check in to your rooms. Have dinner and retire early

Day 3 : Shillong

Have an early breakfast and start towards Shillong (2 – 3 hrs)
Stop at Umiam lake, also called Barapani, and enjoy the views
Proceed towards Shillong and check in to your rooms
Freshen up and move out towards Laitlum canyons, Shillong Peak, Elephant falls
If time permits visit the famous Cathedral of Mary, Ward’s Lake.
Have dinner at Police Bazaar or return back to the place of stay for dinner and retire for the night

Day 4 : Shillong-Cherrapunjee

After breakfast move to Mawphlang Sacred Grove
Proceed to Cherrapunjee, with a quick lunch on the way
Check in to your rooms and proceed for sightseeing at Cherrapunji – Garden of caves, Arwah caves, Mawkdok Dympep valley, Seven Sisters Falls, Bangladesh Viewpoint

Day 5 : Cherrapunjee

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to Nohkalikai Falls/Cheerfully Falls/Wei Sawdong falls as time permits
Return to Guwahati airport to catch the late evening flight back home, with some wonderful memories.

10 Day Assam Meghalaya tour

A comprehensive tour of Assam and Meghalaya, presenting to you the enchanting beauty of nature, wildlife and the culture of this region.

Day 1 : Guwahati

Arrival at Guwahati airport
Proceed to Kamakhya Temple straight from the Airport
After temple darshan (2-3 hrs) proceed to check in at the Guest House

Proceed for the sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra
After the cruise, visit the Mahabahu Brahmaputra Heritage Centre to get a glimpse of the history and cultural heritage of Assam

Day 2 : Jowai

Start early in the morning (7 AM) for Jowai, after a quick cup of tea and sandwiches. Breakfast on the way
Reach Nartiang just before midday Visit the Nartiang Monoliths and the Maa Jayanti Devi temple, an ancient and revered Shakti Peeth
Proceed towards Jowai after a lunch on the way
Visit the Moopun falls and Rynji falls
Come back to Jowai and check in to your rooms

Day 3 : Jowai – Dawki – Shnongpdeng

Have an early breakfast and start towards Phe Phe Falls and Krang Shuri Falls
After the falls leave for Shnongpdeng and Dawki

Wake up very early for the Elephant Safari
Come back to the resort for a traditional breakfast
You can explore the nearby villages on cycles or foot as well.
Experience the wildlife at Pobitora with the Jeep Safari.
Come back for a traditional Assamese lunch at the resort
Check out from your rooms and Go Birdwatching and then visit the Mayong Museum to check out the history of ‘Black Magic’ that this area was famous for.
